HomesteadSync (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a product of Dragan Holdings LLC, based in Cambridge, Minnesota. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect through this website and the HomesteadSync app, and how we use it. By using the site or app, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist email. When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you submit so we can send you launch and early-access updates.
- Account email (the app). If you create an optional HomesteadSync Cloud account, we collect your email to sign you in and sync your data across devices.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site, including pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location. This helps us improve the site.
- Security and spam prevention. We use Wordfence and Akismet, which may process technical data such as IP address and form submissions to protect the site from abuse and spam.
The app’s data
The HomesteadSync app is local-first: your garden, flock, pantry, and other records are stored on your device. If you choose the optional Cloud feature, that data syncs to our servers (Supabase) so you can use it across devices and share it within your household. You can use the app fully without an account.
Cookies
We use cookies for basic analytics. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may behave differently if you do.
How we use your information
- To send you waitlist and launch updates (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To operate, secure, and improve the site and app.
- To sync and back up your data if you use a Cloud account.
- To prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
Affiliate links
HomesteadSync participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other affiliate programs. Some links on this site and in the app are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. We only recommend products we believe are genuinely useful.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate, such as our host (Hostinger), analytics (Google), security and spam tools (Wordfence, Akismet), and our app backend (Supabase). We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. App account data is kept while your account is active; you can request deletion at any time.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, or by emailing us.
- Access or delete your data by emailing us below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
Children
HomesteadSync is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date.
